BARLEY AND BEEF ROMA
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes, undrained
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped celery
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1/2 cup Quaker Pearled Barley
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 1/2 teaspoons oregano leaves, crushed
1 garlic clove, minced
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Brown meat in large skillet over medium heat; drain.
Add remaining ingredients; mix well.
Cover; simmer about 1 hour and 15 minutes or until barley is tender.
Makes 8 servings
