ISO: Debbie D...about frozen Dumplings

Misc.
Hi Debbie, when I read someone wasn't able to find frozen dumplings, I wondered if you are referring to what some one not from the South might call rolled dumplings?

Right after my Mom and Dad got married, he asked her to make Chicken and Dumplings. She obliged by making dumplings as she knew them, basically biscuit dough dropped by spoonfuls into the liquid around the chicken and cooked covered until done. He wasn't happy and said no, he meant dumplings. She finally figured out he meant what she called noodles...a dough of flour salt a little oil, cream and eggs and rolled out to less than 1/8 inch and cut into strips. That made him happy. It was several years later as I read cookbooks I realized that he was referring to the southern rolled dumpling.

I know there are frozen noodles available, and wondered if that would be about the same as the dumplings you are referring to. Perhaps Caroll can even buy those in Australia. If not perhaps she can make them.

Will be interested in a clarification of the term. Your dish sounds wonderful, either way!
