ISO: Doctoring dry-roasted peanuts

Anyone ever tried doctoring a jar of dry-roasted peanuts? We usually get honey-roasted and this plain jar tastes like cardboard to me. Is there an easy way to sweeten them? Just put sugar over them, or cinnamon-sugar, or should I be baking them briefly to melt the sugar or honey? Thanks.
