ISO: Ensaimada Bread - question?

Do you really add the melted butter AFTER the flour? I am currently making the recipe and let me say, that was a BIG mess...butter sloshing everywhere and it took FOREVER to combine. I have a feeling it would be better to add the butter with the egg yolks....just a tip for everyone else.
