ISO: Garlic Vinegar Recipe For Turkish Tripe Soup

I am looking for the ingredients for the garlic vinegar concoction that is spooned over Turkish Tripe soup.

I thought it was made with crushed galic, vinegar, and chile pepper, but I think I'm wrong because mine doesn't taste like what they serve in Turkish restaurants.

All the recipes I've found just say crush the garlic and pour vinegar over it, but for one thing, they don't say what kind of vinegar to use. Most of the recipes I've found don't even mention the chile pepper, either.

Does anyone know the correct ingredients, and what kind of vinegar to use?
