ISO: Help Needed - Pumpkin Pie

Although we are not American, being huge turkey lovers we've (my mother-in-law and myself) have decided to celebrate Thanksgiving this year.

She's cooking the turkey and I'm making the desert.

I've always been intrigued by the idea of a "pumpkin pie" and need a simple recipe so I can give this a try. Only thing to bear in mind is that I can't get canned pumpkin here so would probably need to use a "real" one.

Any takers?
