HURRY-UP COFFEE CAKE
A beautiful blend of WONDRA and other delicious ingredients that you can actually mix with a fork and pop into the oven minutes before you start the coffee brewing!
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup Gold Medal Wondra Flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Topping (recipe follows)
Heat oven to 375 degrees F (quick moderate). Grease an 8-inch square pan.
Beat egg and milk together. Add oil. Blend dry ingredients together and stir into milk mixture. Mix with fork until thoroughly blended. Pour into prepared pan and sprinkle with topping mixture.
Bake 20-25 minutes. Serve warm.
TOPPING
Mix together:
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tbsp. Gold Medal Wondra Flour
1 tbsp. butter, melted
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Makes 1 (8-inch) cake
