ISO: Help with sweet potato soup canning

I have a wonderful vegetable soup recipe that uses pureed sweet potatoes as a thickener. I'm interested in canning it, but the manual for my pressure cooker says not to can pureed sweet potatoes. It doesn't say why. Can anyone tell me?
