ISO: Hot Dog Mustard
Misc.I'm searching for a recipe for mustard that will come out close to what French's or Plochman's makes.
Okay, that's not my real question. What I'm really looking for is to find out if anyone knows what ingredients and proportions of ingredients are used in your basic store-bought "hot dog and hamburger" mustard. I'm tweaking a barbecue sauce recipe which calls for said mustard as an ingredient, and would prefer to use the ingredients directly rather than buy pre-prepared mustard -- both for expense purposes and so that I can tweak those flavors as well.
(Please, no recipes that contain eggs, cornstarch or flour as thickening agents. I've seen those recipes, and since those ingredients aren't actually on the bottle, I don't believe that they actually belong).
