ISO: How to make Maraschino cherries?

Misc.

I live in California and picked cherries over the week-end. I usually make jam, jelly and dehydrate them. However a friend and I thought it would be fun to make marischino (spelling) cherries.

We would very much appreciate a reply.

Thank you very much,
Patti
