ISO: In Need of Your Creative Ideas

I am making items to send to the troops in Iraq for the holidays. I need ideas for food items that will last the delivery time...2 - 4 weeks approx. My husband has been in Iraq since January and will be there all the way through March 2007. I wish to spend my time and efforts making his Christmas there (along with other soldiers) the best it possibly can be. I would appreciate any ideas, tips or thoughts. I am making some decorations and stockings...CD's with Christmas music...recipes in a jar - or preferably another type container that will weight less yet still provide the seal that a jar would (any ideas)? I am on a tight budget, so thrifty ideas are greatly appreciated. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your thoughts and ideas (prayers, too).
