ISO: ISO:Dessert for Bowl Game Party

Help, we have been invited to a home of some new friends for a Football Game Bowl Party on New Year's Day. This will be a couple's noon party to watch our favorite ball team. They requested we bring something sweet to eat. They are going to cook something on the grill. There will be drinks and snacks too. Do any of you have any great recipes for something sweet that goes over well with a small group? I have some frozen pastry shells that I usually put ham or chicken salad in but I suppose they would be good with something sweet in them, but I don't know what to do with them. (They are already cooked just require thawing.)

I would appreciate any ideas and or recipes you could give me. We are fairly new in this town and this is our first New Year's with these nice folks. We would like to take something really good.

Thanks alot for your help!
