ISO: Italian Breakfast Rolls

Misc.
I'm looking for a recipe for those crusty round rolls I enjoyed at
breakfast time in many of the small private hotels I stayed at in
Italy. The internal texture is light and somewhat hollow...wonderful
with butter, jam, nutella. -Thanks for your help (I've been searching
the net and cook books periodically for a year).
