Recipe(tried): Panda Express Garlic Chicken Breast with String Beans - Observations

Main Dishes - Chicken, Poultry
Panda does not sell the sauce it uses for this recipe, like the bottled sauce you can buy for orange chicken. The Panda Express website describes it as a "mild ginger soy sauce." The Panda I go to described it as their "No. 5 sauce." You can definitely taste the ginger, but I don't see ginger listed in the recipe. Also, there are no red peppers in the item sold at the Pandas I've been too all over the West Coast. Also, if you watch them make it, they deep fry the beans for 1 minute. This is what makes the beans uniformly tender, but still crunchy. I tried deep frying them for a minute, and they turned out exactly as they do at Panda. I stir fried the chicken and the onions in the oil first, added the deep fried beans, and poured the sauce over it (I used chicken broth instead of the quarter cup water) and cooked til the sauce thickened. I did add a tsp of powdered ginger to the mix.
