ISO: Need help with luau type appetizers

My daughter is having a birthday party for her husband and the theme is tropical or Hawaiian. She is serving coconut shrimp, pulled pork mini-sandwiches, grilled pineapple skewers, macadamia encrusted goat cheese, crab quesadillas, chicken skewers with mango salsa, coconut macaroons, and rum cake. She is expecting about 35 people. What she told me last night is that she wants a few dips or spreads to round out the menu. Does anyone have any ideas for things that would fit in with her theme? I'm helping her plan this party from hundreds of miles away! Thank you in advance.
