ISO: Need recipe for Pickled Sweet Banana Pep

I have a lovely crop (they are everywhere!)of sweet bananna peppers which I want to preserve.(I love the peppers that they put in the salad at my favorite Italian resturant and couldn't find a place to buy them.) So I bought some little plants and I see that I need to preserve them. I guess what I need to know is would the recipe for preserving these sweet banana peppers be the same recipe as one for jalapeno peppers? I have that recipe. But I do have to get on it right away because they are getting huge and I really didn't want them that big in my salads. If anyone knows if this will work OR if someone has a special recipe for pickling sweet banana peppers, I'd like to have it. Thanks.
