ISO: persimmon "pulp"?

Misc.

I have found an old recipe for persimmon cookies in my boyfriends mother's cookbook. I never had a chance to meet her as she died some time ago. Iam very gratefull however that she preserved some of my boyfriends childhood favorites in this book. I have never made these before and am a little confused as to when the recipe says persimmon PULP.? Do I scrape the stuff out and then chop it up? Use a blender? Hmm??? And are they supposed to be crispy or a soft cookie. I hope some one out there can help me out. I know my boyfriend will be really surprised if I can pull this off. Thanks a million!
