ISO: Plum Pudding without Suet

Misc.
Since suet is hard to find and lots of people turned their noses up at it, I would like to find a plum pudding recipe witout suet or a way to substitue some other fat for it. I have my husband's great grandmother's recipe for plum pudding and would like to make it for him (without suet).
