Recipe: Touch of Home Ranch Chowder

1 1/2 pounds ground chuck
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 cup flour or matzo meal
1/4 cup water
shortening (for browning meatballs)
1 (11 1/4 oz) can condensed green split pea soup
1 (10 1/2 oz) can condensed onion soup
1 (10 1/2 oz) can condensed vegetarian vegetable soup
3 soup cans water
1 cup uncooked noodles
Mix meat with salt, pepper, eggs, matzo meal (flour), and 1/4 cup warm water. Form into 30 meat balls. Brown in hot shortening in a large saucepan. Drain off fat.
Mix the 3 soups and water and add to meat balls. Stir well, bring to boil, reduce heat, and add noodles. Simmer about 20 minutes, or until meat balls are done.
Servings: 6
