ISO: Russian 17 layer cake

Misc.
I am looking for a recipe that my dad wants me to find. It was made for him when he was young by my great aunt who has long since passed on. No one knows where to find the recipe. To the best of his knowledge it was called Russian 17 layer cake. He said it was very thin despite being 17 layers. He can't remember what the ingredients would be he just remembers it being soooo good ! I would truly be grateful if someone new of the recipe and could pass it on. Thanks so much.
