ISO: Seppo - Chestnut Soup

Misc.
Is anybody out there?

Hello Seppo,

I am new to this web site and not a message board user. I realize I am replying to a posting 3 yrs old, but will cross my fingers.

You mentioned a Holiday Recipe for Chestnut Soup. I've only had chestnut soup on one occasion and it was wonderful.

I am NOT an accomplished cook, and am hoping to find a recipe that I can't mangle too horribly to serve to my family on Thanksgiving Day. If yours isn't too complicated, would you kindly share it with me?

My challenge is this: My Mother has undergone surgery for oral cancer recently. (She is doing very well, thank you.) For now, her diet is restricted to liquids and soft foods.

I hope to create a simple menu with Mom in mind. If you could suggest any other dishes that she might enjoy that would compliment the soup, I would be very grateful.

Warmest Regards and Happy Holidays,

~~Terry
