ISO: soft chocolate frosted cookies

I went to Ohio U with a woman from Piqua, Ohio back in the 1960s before the earth cooled. Her mom sent care packages of soft chocolate cookies with a lovely chocolate icing. No nuts or chips as I recall. I remember them and would love to be able to make them for the gang at work. Help please.
