ISO: Sourdough Bread Making

I used to make sourdough bread from a live starter all the time for years. I do understand that I am not supposed to use metal when making it. I have a Kitchenaid mixer with a stainless steel bowl and a dough hook that I would like to start making this bread in again. Can I use this bowl to mix the bread? The glass bowls from Kitchenaid are expensive on my fixed income so I am hoping. Thank you.
