ISO: Stungle (Hungarian/Austrian Walnut Bar Cookie)

Looking for a recipe my Grandmother brought over from Hungary/Austria the turn of the century. It has egg whites on top of a layer of ground walnuts and is baked is a slow oven to make the top layer meringue like. Any help is appreciated.
