ISO: Tasty Whole Wheat Bread - doing something wrong.

Hi again Beth....well I tried the recipe as you had it written... maybe the milk was warmer than it should be...but after warming the milk, oil, honey...and then adding the eggs...I mixed it all with half the whole wheat flour,salt and yeast....by hand.... the added the rest and the covered and let it sit...it was sitting for 3 hours...and nothing happened...it didn't rise... I used bulk yeast..approx 4 tablespoons...

Can you help?... I'm just a dumb guy that needs more direction...I finallt put it in pans and it rose a little then baked it... it is like a pound cake!!! arggghhh!!! HELP!
