ISO: This is probabally a weird question but,

Misc.

When you dehydrate the meat at 140 degrees does it cook? or are you just eating
dried up raw meat? What about germs/bacteria? how long does it keep? my husband
loves jerky but I've never tried to make it because the thought of eating it,
well, I'm willing to give it a shot for him. I just don't want to kill him
(giggle)
