ISO: Vienna Cake

I am searching for a recipe for what has been told to me to be called "Vienna Cake". It has a raspberry filling and a hard white frosting. It was a favorite of a friend of mine who grew up in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands in the 60's and 70's. I would like to locate the recipe in order to make a surprise dessert for him. Any help in locating a recipe for this type of cake would greatly be appreciated. Thank you.
