Thank you so very much. It looks like the oven temp is different and much less cake flour, than the Magnolia recipe.

It is my friends baby shower this weekend and i am planning on making it tomorrow. I used the Magnolia recipe for Valentines day but I did not like adding the cocoa/food coloring paste right after creaming the sugar eggs. I think the Jennifer Appel recipe is more towards the way I remember making it in the past, you add it almost at the last step.
