Recipe: Pickled Artichokes (using frozen artichoke hearts, 1980's)

1 (9 ounce) package frozen artichoke hearts
2 tablespoons peanut oil
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon oregano leaves
1/4 teaspoon prepared mustard
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 bay leaf
1 clove garlic
Cook frozen artichoke hearts according to package directions; drain.
Combine peanut oil with remaining ingredients in bowl; stir in artichoke hearts.
Cover tightly and refrigerate until well chilled, turning artichoke hearts occasionally in marinade.
