Thank You: Grossi's Chicken Goulash - Sitting here chuckling, Deborah
Misc. You type an accent very well! LOL
That's exactly the way Gram taught me her recipes - but without as thick an accent. LOL I even remember her measuring something in an eggshell, though memory prevents me from knowing exactly what that was. She didn't teach ingredient amounts; I had to figure them out for the goulash on my own as a way to standardize the recipe and make it turn out the same way each time... and as a way to pass the recipe along to those who invariably ask for it.
Nine times out of ten, I don't make the dumplings. I've always thought they must actually be a version of spaetzle. Gram didn't call them that... Would you say that's what they are, just made without a spaetzle-maker tool?
Your chicken version sounds delicious. Will have to give it a try sometime!
Thanks for the giggle, too.
