I guess I didn't go back to the appliance site after the end of August - it's not one of my regular sites, since I'm not a gadget person, as I said. I'm scrolling back thru old posts now, looking for recipes I've missed. This is what I do when I've had enough of my family and need some down time! Some people play solitaire or do yoga, I look at recipes... Anyway, I ended up getting a really big electric skillet, and it worked perfectly. I used it for our big Christmas dinner too, to make scalloped potatoes.
I don't know if you'll ever see this, but thanks anyway for taking the time to answer my question!
