$10,000 Starlight mint surprise cookies-The wafer issue!

In today's times of trying to make cookies our Gram-mom's made, I too was raised on my Gram-mom's wonderful mint cookies in Reading, Pa. Trying to find the mints has been tough. I know she never used the andes mints. She used a chocolate wafer. In her recipe it called for 2 boxes of Borden's mints. They don't make them anymore. BUT I was in Hobby Lobby on 1/13/11 and found a Make'n mold dark mint candy wafer which can be used in cookies! These will be a perfect match to her wafer! And they are minty to the taste! These are on the candy making aisle in the store! Happy baking!
