about green tomatoes

Misc.
Hi Karen. I love pickled tomatoes on a salad, myself. To answer your question....green tomatoes are simply unripened tomatoes. In the south, we fry them in cornmeal and vegetable oil. Some places here even serve fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. I would like the recipe for the chutney....thanks!
