Misc. about the duch satay you have tasted, i believe it's the influence from indonesia as it was part of the dutch colonial colonies for a couple of hundred years. so if you are looking for such recipe, you could try to search for the indonesia satay recipe. malaysian satay is a bit different from the indonesia ones, but delicious all the same. satay is very popular in this part of the world, so south east asian countries are the areas you want to look into if you are really into this dish... happy eating!
