ISO: Netherlands Saute (Sate)?

While stationed in Europe , I had several Dutch Friends, who had made me what they called Saute or Sate Made with pork or beef marinated and cooked in asauce made with peanut butter and hoison sauce .I loved it but have not been able to find a recipe for it .Can anyone help.
