Adore my festive bundt pan

Misc.
I highly recommend the Festive Bundt pan made by Nordicware. I bake gorgeous pound cakes, fruit cakes, carrot cakes, etc., in it.

The heavy cast-aluminum gives nicely browned cake exteriors.

The cakes release beautifully. You just have to grease the inside of the pan with a pastry brush dipped in room-temperature Crisco (I don't like butter for greasing cake pans), and flour the inside of the pan as well.

I use only a very soft cloth to hand-wash the inside of the pan, to avoid scratching the non-stick surface, and turn the pan upside down to air-dry.
