Recipe: Scrambled Eggs with Mushroom Sauce (1970's)
Breakfast and BrunchSCRAMBLED EGGS WITH MUSHROOM SAUCE
Chopped green bell pepper
chopped onion
oil or butter (for skillet)
Eggs, beaten
Mushroom Sauce (recipe follows)
Saute green pepper and onion in oil or butter in a skillet until softened. Add eggs and cook (scrambled eggs).
Serve eggs topped with sauce.
MUSHROOM SAUCE
1 (10 3/4 oz) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
shredded cheddar cheese
sliced mushrooms (sauteed or canned, drained)
milk, as needed
Heat ingredients for the sauce together. Add milk, if needed for desired consistency.
