Assign a month to each person.

I didn't want to post this with the previous message (too hard to title) but I thought of this as I was writing the other.

I think it is fun to assign a month to each person and they bring a gift suitable for that month. You seem to have enough for about three people per month. That would be great to see what each person thinks of for a particular month.

As a for instance: January--snowmen, snow shovel (not here but in some areas), afghans, crockpot (for hearty soups); February--hearts, axe (cherry tree), cherry tree; March--shamrocks, flag (March winds), spring bulbs; April--umbrella, budget book; May--flower pots; June--American flag (Flag day), picnic basket; July--grill, grill tools, luggage; August--electric fan, canning utensils; September--books, calculator; October--Halloween decorations, harvest rug; November--cornucopia, pilgrims, turkey; December--Christmas decorations, tree, birthday decorations.

Anyway, you get the idea. These were just some of the things I think of in conjunction with each of these months. Of course, some of these things would not be appropriate in every situation, you wouldn't want plants and bulbs if you are renting an apartment (or would you, artificial could substitute). I asked my husband on a couple of these. Some of his answers were comparable.
Some months are harder than others but it would be fun to open the gifts.
