Pantry shower using recipe cards

Misc.

A follow-up to this idea (recipes for the new bride) could be to have a pantry shower. Ask each guest to bring the ingredients (non-perishable only) to make the recipe they bring and or any special utensils or pans to prepare the recipe. For example, crockpot pineapple upside down cake: the gift would be the ingredients for the cake plus a crockpot. (Don't ask for the recipe, I remember seeing it somewhere, sometime. I don't have a clue where!)

Also, you could have the guest bring the prepared dish to serve as the refreshments. Of course, that could make for a very interesting combination of refreshments! Actually, that sounds kind of fun to me. I like to try different foods!
