I just had two baby showers that were completely different from one another. For the more brunch type shower we had quiches, stuffed chicken with spinach and ricotta, triple layer brownies, strawberry and kiwi salad, a french pound cake and basic white cake with a grand marnier frosting, carmalized bree with crostini. If you would be interested in any of these recipes I would be happy to email them to you. The triple layer brownies, carmalize bree, and stuffed chicken were the easiest and best recieved.

For the other shower we placed out tiny quiches, cake and fruit and vegi platter. We played two games. The first you place cotton balls in a bowl and a silver spoon. You cover the persons eyes with a towel or scarf and they have a paper plate in one hand raised up. The idea is to get the most cotton balls on the plate from the bowl. The trick is that you can not feel if you have any balls on your spoon. This was a really fun game and we had a lot of laughs. Another game we played is we bought a bunch of jars of baby food. Put paper over the labels and placed them on a tray. Everyone had a piece of paper and pen and had five minutes to guess what each one was. They were all numbered on the lid with a felt tip marker.
