Brown Rice Solution

Misc.

Thanks for the advise on my brown rice problem.I think I have it licked.I tried cooking it with two parts water and one part rice in my pressure cooker, and it came out perfect in only 20 minutes! If anyone out there wants to use a pressure cooker, use lots of water and reduce the heat after the pressure builds to prevent excessive water loss.I have discovered that you can get by with the heat set on low. That should only generate a gentle hiss from the cooker.I was cooking at too high a heat, and lost all my water.I am sure that you could cook it in 15-18 minutes,as my last effort resulted in some "glueiness" in the rice, but it tasted great.
