ISO: short grain brown rice cooking tips

I am fond of the nutty taste of short-grain brown rice,but am unsure as to the best way to prepare it.I have tried pressure-cooking it,with variable results.It usually comes out too firm.What is the best/recommended way to cook this kind of rice.I understand that it is supposed to be firmer than white rice when done,but I am sure my is too firm.
