buying a dehydrator
Misc.If you want to buy a dehydrator, be sure to look for one with a good fan, thermostat that can be adusted, and a heat source. One of the best on the market for the money is a 500 watt American Harvest or some stores will have the name Nesco. Walmart here has them. I paid under $50 for mine. The Ronco and some other brands are honestly not good. They have no fan and the food can spoil before it dries.
We did a comparison at our food safety advisor classes, and this was our findings.
Hope it helps.
