Hi Joann; I too, like yourself have been canning & cooking since I was 8 years old. That was at the end of the 1929 crash, I am 66 now and find I can still learn something. Actually, it was my son that was doing the canning. He called & said HELP, he cooked his for 15 min. @ 10# pressure, this is what I taught him to do & I never had a problem. It's possible he had to much water bath in the cooker but who knows? He lives 200 mi. away and maybe his helper did something that was not right. Thank you very much for your responce.
