Recipe: Imitation Bill Miller's Green Beans (quantity recipe)

IMITATION BILL MILLER'S GREEN BEANS

1/3 pound slab bacon, cut in 1-inch pieces
1/4 large onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, diced
2 cans (14 1/2 ounces each) diced tomatoes
1 (6 pound) can green beans
1 cup barbecue sauce (any brand)
Salt and pepper (to taste)

Fry bacon till fat releases; add onion and garlic; saute a few minutes. Add undrained tomatoes and simmer till juices are almost dry.

Drain most of the juice from the can of green beans; add 1 cup barbecue sauce to the green beans; mix all together and simmer till flavors blend. Add salt and pepper, to taste.

Makes 24 servings
