Papa John's Introduces Papa's Cinnapie; Free Dessert? Sweet!

LOUISVILLE, Ky., Jan. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --Papa John's today announced the systemwide rollout of a new dessert item, Papa's Cinnapie, to complement its menu of "Better Ingredients. Better Pizza." Papa's Cinnapie is an oven-baked cinnamon pie in a six-inch pan crust, generously covered with swirls of sweet, glazed frosting. This newest offering from Papa John's is a great way to complete your family's pizza meal.

Beginning Monday, January 6 through Sunday, January 26, 2003, in nearly all U.S. markets, the eight-stick Papa's Cinnapie will be offered free to customers with the purchase of a large one-topping Papa John's pizza for $9.99. The Papa's Cinnapie product launch will also be supported by a nationwide promotion and available for purchase through Papa John's nationwide online ordering system at www.papajohns.com.

Print advertising for Papa's Cinnapie will begin Monday, January 6, with national television advertising beginning Monday, January 13. Local market television begins in many markets January 6 with support from radio advertising. The dedicated Papa's Cinnapie television spots highlight the advertising campaign's tagline, "Free Dessert? Sweet!"
