Changing Smoke Detectors .....

A radio program in our area said to be sure and change the SMOKE DETECTORS themselves after ten years! I didn't realize that this had needed done, I thought only the batteries needed changed! We just bought 3 new smoke detectors! I'm not sure where the information came from other than the radio station, however it didn't appear to be a commercial by a smoke detector company!!! But why chance it?!!! Six
