Chinese food?
Misc. Why not make your own Chinese meal? Lots of cookbooks have easy Chinese recipes, that just require chopping and laying out veggies and meat in advance. Cheat, and buy the rice at a Chinese restaurant, along with noodles and fortune cookies, and fix the main course yourself! That won't cost much, and you can reheat the rice in the microwave. If your parents have a rice steamer, so much the better, but don't forget the cookies! Start with a soup that can be prepared ahead. Go easy on the onions and garlic!
