ISO: Prom Dinner Recipes(Homemade)

My name is Christopher.A friend and I are double dating for the
prom and decided to cook the dinner for our dates at my parents
home.Restaurants are out of my budget as I have to save all I can
to go to college this fall.We know a little about cooking,but I
would like something that our dates thought was special.My mom
already thinks that our cooking will make it special,but I want
to do the night right.Any recipes would be appreciated,including
desserts.Just remember that my friend and I are just starting to
learn to cook,so simple would be great!! Thanks alot for helping!
PS--Sorry this is so last minute, but our prom is this Saturday!
