Misc.
Who can resist such a plea!! :) this is VERY easy and hard to mess up and all girls like olive gardens fettucine alfredo! Hve not read peggy's or other yet but knowing the names that are you are surely in luck --- plz. be sure to let us know how it goes ...

Olive Garcen fettucine alfredo
8 oz. cream cheese (cut in bits)
1/2 cup milk or 1/2 & 1/2
1/2 cup butter or margerine
3/4 cup fresh parmesean chese (sams club sells about 2 cups for 2.99)
1/2 tea. garlic powder (garlic salt but less is okay)
and either: 1 bag of frozen salad shrimp (if you can afford it) or 1/2 pkg. luncheon ham cut into strips.

8 oz. fettucine noodles cooked per instructions on package. (fresh past is nice in the refrig section of groc. store but boxed cheap is okay as well :)
1> In saucepan put cream cheese, milk, parm. cheese, butter.
2> melt over med. heat DO NOT BOIL! Just warm through
3> add the shrimp or the ham and stir in and keep on stovetopwarming through, till shrimp or ham is warmed as well.
It will not take to terribly long max is 1/2 hour you want to have this on the stove top, could be as little as 15 min.

after the sauce is done, cook fettucine noodles as per directions on box, do not rince when cooked, toss with the sauce once it is cooked. It cooks up fast
Now to keep sauce on the noodles they say not to add oil to the water before cooking BUT sticky noodles are not pleasant for a first try so i would recommend that you put 2 tlb. oil in the water before boiling the noodles.

Now serving is important! I would reccommend that you ahve the plates warm before you serve the fettuccine on them, also you may want to take and grate some carrot and grind black pepper or other colorful spices (ask mom)on the PLATE before adding food, looks pretty!

maybe baby carrots with a little brown sugar would be nice with this , simply buy fresh or even canned baby carrots and place in sauce pan on the stove and add oh 1-2 Tlb. brown sugar and just enough water to keep it from burning.
place on the right upper side of the plate.

With this serve a salad, Romain lettuce torn up tossed with red seedless grapes that have been cut in 1/2, sprinkle a bit of the parmesan cheese on it and serve with ranch dressing, if you have a vinigarette add a splash of that as well. to each salad plate put a "sprig of grapes" on the side ... grapes are romantic! :) It is nice to serve the salad on individual plates that have been put in the frezzer a bit before hand.

Buy sparkleing water with raberry (99 cents) and place a napkin around the bottle and tiew with ribbon to hold napkin on, chill well and use mom's best stemware to serve it in.

Ice cream with a hersheys chocolate & rasberry sauce would be nice served in fancy stemware, if rasbeerry sauce is too high, butterscotch or carmel is good as well. spoon the ice cream in the serving piece early and place in the frezzer, before cooking other stuff. Add warmed sauce just before serving!

What girl could resist! enjoy!:)
